The food is so good. If I didn't already know I was at a vegan restaurant, I wouldn't really be able to tell. We were seated pretty quickly. We originally made a reservation for indoor dining but were told the reservation wasn't found, so they sat us outside. It was freezing cold but luckily they had a few outdoor heaters and hot tea! We started off with the cesare salad, mozzarella sticks and the baked ricotta with grilled bread. The salad dressing wasn't my favorite but may have been because there wasn't enough of it on the salad. It's a pretty big portion so it was big enough to share between us four. There were 3 pastas ordered and the best one was the seasonal penne with sausage crumbles. It had really good flavor and the taste and texture was the closest to actual sausage crumbles. We also ordered the seasonal squash bisque which was good. To close out our meal, we had the zeppole and ordered a side of the raspberry coulis, instead of the Nutella, which made it a little lighter but the best dessert option to end dinner. I ate here years ago and didn't remember how good the food was. Hoping to try the Hollywood location and that the food is comparable.

I recently went to Pura Vita in Redondo Beach and for starters the customer service here was amazing. The waiter was very attentive and made sure to give recommendations on different menu items. I tried the Ricotta appetizer and the Cacio e Pepe. The appetizer was amazing, but the Cacio was just ok. I usually have the non vegan version of it so I wasn't expecting it to be amazing. I would definitely go back to try the pizzas next time.

I LOVE pura vita and I am not a vegan or vegetarian. I come here often when I'm craving their black magic pizza! It's definitely one of my top 3 pizzas although it's not real cheese. Honestly, I can't even tell because it's so creamy, earthy, "cheesy", and delicious. It pairs really well with their house white wine. Also, the ambiance of this place makes it one of my go to date night spots. The indoors is dimmed with a bar in the middle and tables around the room. The patio in the back is nicely covered with a tent and they have heaters for each table. We went on a cold winter night but I was very warm. They also allow pets on the patio!

Always a good time when coming here! They have amazing vegan menu that doesn't make you feel like you're missing out on meat. Each entree is filled with either mushrooms, or their version of a vegan sausage or pepperoni. I'm not a vegan but still enjoy coming here. The dough of the pizza is chewy and has the perfect amount of char! They have an outdoor patio that's filled with heaters so it never gets too cold. Their service is always fast and friendly and is a good spot to take out of towers for a more unique experience! Great wine selection as well

I'm an Italian meat eater (flex) from New Yawk but you will still catch me ordering the pizza here. And trust me, I'm a hard sell. I took my partner here for the first time yesterday not knowing what to expect. I wouldn't even let them read the menu because I was afraid his carnivorous mind would judge before the food came. For our meal we ordered the olives, the bastoncini di mozzarella, baked cashew ricotta, and the black magic pizza. They forgot our olives, sadly, and we didn't realize until we got home and I'm realizing they did charge us for them, so that kinda sucks. BUT their was plenty of food! I got cheesey things because I wanted him to really experience vegan food where you couldn't tell the difference and where he would never think he was "missing out" in anything! With some type of magic, they managed to get the sticks velvety and creamy. The cashew ricotta was rich and garlicky and better than the real thing. The pizza dough could use a bit more crisp but I know this can be a challenge with the type of toppings added and their moisture value. That truffle cream is chefs kiss! We ate a lot but there was no way we weren't going back in for dessert! They had zeppole's on the menu. And okd faithful from back home that I spoke about before and my partner finally got a chance to try. We added the Nutella because... of course! The zeppole's came out piping hot and CRISP on the outside and soft on the inside just how they're supposed to be. We also got the Affogato with hazelnut Gelato because after this huge lunch we def needed a pick me up. To drink we ordered the house red, that I was skeptical about but had nice body and it was a happy hour special. I'd def order that again. I'm always skeptical on house reds unless it is a malbec or cabernet from Chile. Which is rare! Partner had a cocktail called "Siena". When asked what they thought of it the drink. They said, "The delivery was beautiful and it went too quick! It was a perfect marriage of bitter and sweet, you mught say bittersweet, commanding respect, yet making me feel at home and comfortable". I guess that means it was a hit! As always service was great! They let us come in with our doggie as outside was closed due to smoke/ash. There were several other people there with pets in cages. So KUDOS for allowing evacuees to come in with their pets and eat. I had never eaten inside before so finally got to really look around. The decor and vibes are great. Easily giving brooklyn which made my heart really happy. Our server "AM B" (per check) was really kind and great at feeling out the vibe at each table and giving guests the level of support and chat they needed. Thanks, Pura Vita! Always a pleasure. We will be back in for those olives if you'll have us?

2nd time visiting, and the vegan food here is amazing! I'm not vegan, but I think this place is definitely worth trying for all people. I tried the linguine de mare, and the smell and taste of seafood is mind blowing; even when knowing it's vegan food, I still can't believe there aren't any clams in the dish. The food here isn't some plain food that you'd image vegan food would have--it's actually very flavorful and satisfying. The staff are nice and the outside tables are nice and cozy. There are heaters, so I had no problem sitting outside at night. You can also bring your dogs at the outside tables!

For you locals, this restaurant took over the old CJ's. It's completely transformed. You can't really tell what it looks like inside because of the tinted windows. Once I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at the modern decor, but decided to sit outside. The outdoor patio is spacious, with plenty of tables. I ordered an oat milk latte and avocado toast. Both my drink and food tasted good. It was a pleasant, quiet experience. Friendly staff. Parking: Plenty of free parking in the rear and on the street.

Vegan dishes here are impressively good! Tried this place for dinner - reservations were easy via their site. Server was friendly & helpful with sharing their menu favorites (: indoor dining area is relaxing, dimly lit. We shared the following: ** Polpettine: Lentil, mushroom filled meatballs - served with marinara and macadamia cheese! We ate this up! ** Linguine di Mare: Spicy Garlic white wine sauce served with Oyster mushroom scallops. (Too Garlicky) ... oyster mushroom scallops were yum! ** San Gennaro pizza: Italian sausage crumbles (soy / pea protein) on marinara sauce. This pizza was delightful! It's wonderful to have more Vegan restaurants here in the Southbay and the food here in Pura Vita is fresh, creative & tasty! Will definitely come back again to visit!

Went the other day to celebrate my sister's birthday. She is vegan, my mom and I are not. Service: The server we got was nit the greatest. I think his name was Jose, but right off the back, he was pretty serious and made the whole experience awkward. It was sad because once he finished introducing himself, a busboy i think came over and was so kind to us. He started telling us his favorite dishes, and the most popular ones. He ended up saying that he probably wasn't helpful with the suggestions and that our waiter would know more, however, he ended up helping us more than the waiter himself. He was a God send! That awkward waiter was the only reason we would hesitate to return. Everyone else was way nicer. Food: I got the pizza, and as a non-vegan, I must say it was quite yummy. The flavors mixed well and you couldn't tell much that it was not vegan. The size was also bigger than I imagined. My mom got the carbonara, which she loved. She initially complained about the portion, but ended up getting full. My sister got the pesto pasta and also ended up liking it. Seating: They have lovely seating inside and out. I don't believe there is a wrong place to sit there.
